My dear Uncle Stan, many lovely memories of dancing fun, camping away with both our families fishing for abalone and Sharon dropping in a hole or hours just hanging around at your home. You where the uncle I needed as a teen I will always remember your beautiful voice singing my favourite song, Bridge over trouble waters!
Rest in peace Uncle Stan you will be missed but not forgotten
Aunty Betty Deb and Sharon my heart breaks for you and I am sorry I can’t be there.
    Love always Lea and family

One of life’s true gentlemen, I met Stan through Rockingham Entertainers where he played the drums and acoustic guitar, sometimes Stan and Betty would perform a duet in the variety shows. Always with a big grin, a joke and a twinkle in his eye. That’s how I remember Stan. A personal friend and a fellow thespian…you touched many lives and you will live on in our memories for what you did and who you were. Rest in peace my friend.

Goodbye to Stan, Family man, Musician, Friend and Brother in Law, an all-round Great Guy
Stan joined our family many years ago here in the UK and was with us for only a relatively short time during which he started a family and was blessed with his two great girls. Our Mum used to keep in touch with Christmas cards but then in her latter years, some time ago, I took on the role and also started to share family things more often and I’m so glad we did. It was great to hear about his life in Australia and to be the contact person to feed back to my sisters and their families. I enjoyed him sharing lots about Western Australia, his new family, his musical exploits, the “old days” and life in general. My most vivid memory will always be him describing being out canoeing in the bay and one day I hope that if I ever visit Albany that I’ll be able to see that for real, but even if I never visit I will always have the picture of it that he created for me. I was fortunate enough to be in touch during his final months, weeks and days and we in the UK were able to send him our prayers and good wishes as he slowly, peacefully passed away. We’re happy that he is now at peace and free of pain but he will always be with us in spirit.
Our Love to you as you pass into the next world that awaits us all one day,

    Chris -UK

    To the Shipton Family.
I haven’t seen Stan in many a year as we now live in Eastern Canada. However, it was always pleasant to receive a Christmas card with news from down-under, and occasionally a a photograph or two or a CD of Stan and his band. It must be a great loss to you all and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep in touch and let us know how the family are all doing. Vernon, Kanwal and family.
