I am sorry that I can’t be here in person today to say my goodbye’s to my auntie Irene
She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Irene has welcomed myself and my family into her home from the first day my parents arrived from the UK to make a life for their family in Australia we stayed with my aunt Irene and uncle Bruce until my parents could find accommodation my memory of this time was to keep having cold showers throughout the day as Perth was experiencing one of the hottest summers on record and coming from snow and freezing weather we were really finding the heat hard to cope with.
When my aunt and uncle moved to Margaret River my late husband and I enjoyed our Christmas holidays staying with them on their property we could take our little dog and always had a great time this would be one of my fondest memory of my aunt it was a very special time in my life.
My aunt Irene had a very special talent she made beautiful tapestries with her cross stitch which will always be a reminder of a very special and talented lady she was she also knitted beautiful garments when I had my first child she knitted a gorgeous shawl also cardigans for my children she is truly a inspiration to her family.
I am so happy that the last time I was in Albany which was in March earlier this year I was able to spend a few hours with my aunt and uncle as it was to be my last time to see my aunt Irene I will always remember her as I last saw her.
She is a special lady and I will miss being able to go and visit her on the occasions I am in Albany
    RIP Auntie Irene
Thoughts and Love go to my family on this very sad day Pam xx
