Cousin Edie
Remembered with affection by your Jarvis Cousins.
Of these, Gloria, Jess & Lyle are now deceased.
Over the years, despite being scattered though the countryside, Maurine,Coralie, Lynette, John, Peter and David have become good friends.
Way back while staying with Aunty ., Elva in the school holidays, Edie taught her to ride a bike on THAT Dumbleyung Hill!! So scary ,she’s never forgotten it!
Then when Gloria was in SCGH(Charlies) they met up to help her until she moved to Mandurah where Lyn and Eric could help.
Since then they have kept in touch, meeting up to reminisce & compare notes
Edie was a warm loving friend always remembered for her vivacity.
Loving sympathy to all her family who were devoted to Edie and her comfort.
Her motherly grandmotherly and great grand motherly interest in their doings and welfare featured in all her conversations – especially the farm.
She very appreciated the care at Bethel an welcomed the spiritual support they provided.
She will be missed by us , as a cousin and a friend and this should encourage us to find a ” forever” friend in Jesus.
The old hymn sayes:
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and grief to bear
What a privilege to carry everything to the lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faith ful
Who will all our sorrows share
In His arms He’ll take shield us
We will find a solace there.
We all need Jesus, this forever friend, not just now in our time of loss ,
But always
Maurine
